View your loggers and SOLYX Go readings on an interactive map.

The Map places each logger at its GPS location, or at the location set with Location override in its configuration. Each marker is colored by the latest reading of the measurement you choose. Inside a workspace, the map shows only that workspace's devices. Archived devices don't appear.

1. Open the map
  1. In the navigation menu, select Map. The map zooms to fit your devices.
  2. (Optional) To see one workspace, choose it from the workspace dropdown at the top of the Datasets card in the upper-left corner.
2. Choose what the markers show

The legend in the lower-left corner names the measurement that colors the markers and shows its color scale from low to high. By default, markers show Battery Percent.

  1. Select the legend to open its options.
  2. Under Measurement, choose a measurement. The number beside each one shows how many loggers report it.
  3. Under Position, choose Shallowest, Deepest, or a specific height or depth.
  4. (Optional) If a logger has two sensors at that position, choose a Port.
3. Read the markers

Each marker shows its latest value, colored on the legend's scale. The Data legend in the lower-right corner explains marker states:

  • Current — the logger has a reading for this measurement and position from the last 24 hours.
  • Stale — no reading in the last 24 hours, or no sensor at this position. The marker is hollow and shows -.
  • Mixed — a group of nearby markers that don't all agree. The group shows their average; zoom in to separate them.

To see more about a logger:

  1. Hover over a marker to see the device name.
  2. Select the marker to open its device card, with the folder, serial number, battery, and signal.
  3. (Optional) Select + to expand each port and its Last 24 Hours summary.
  4. (Optional) Select the ⋮ menu on the card for the usual device options, such as View, Configuration, Download, and Logs.

In crowded areas, select Toggle Compact View in the upper-right corner to shrink markers to small dots.

4. Find a device
  1. Select Search devices in the upper-right corner. The panel lists Devices (count) with each device's current value.
  2. Type part of a device name or serial number.
  3. Select a device. The map flies to it and highlights its marker.
5. Show SOLYX Go readings

Readings from SOLYX Go soil tests appear as square markers. The Datasets panel appears once your organization has at least one SOLYX Go surface.

  1. Select the Datasets card in the upper-left corner.
  2. Set the Period to choose which soil tests are listed. The default is Last 30 Days.
  3. Under Surfaces, select a surface, or expand it to choose individual soil tests. Select All or None to change every test at once.
  4. (Optional) Under Loggers, select Hide to show only SOLYX Go readings. Select Show to bring loggers back.

Select a square marker to see its value, when it was taken, and the tine length used.

6. Change the base map
  1. Select Layers in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose Satellite or Streets.
  3. (Optional) Turn on Monochrome, then choose a Tone of Light or Dark so markers stand out.

Your choices are remembered in this browser.

7. Devices that aren't on the map

Buttons in the lower-right corner appear when some devices can't be placed or colored. Each shows a count; select it to list those devices.

  • Devices with no coordinates. — devices with no location, or a location of 0, 0. To place one, turn on Location override under Geolocation in its configuration and set its position.
  • Loggers with no sensor at this position — loggers that report the chosen measurement but have no sensor at the chosen position.
8. The map on a device page

Each device page also has a small map of that device.

  1. In the navigation menu, select Devices, then select a device name.
  2. On the map, select the expand button. The map fills the page and shows your other loggers.
  3. (Optional) Use the device dropdown to switch to another device's page.
  4. Select the button again to return to the device page.
9. Move around the map

Select Map help in the lower-right corner for a summary of the controls and shortcuts.
